A quintet composed of former members of the famed UP Concert Chorus regaled a host of mission partners and their guests at the annual Mission Partners Day dinner last January 29 at the school. Led by Marist alumnus Raymond Francis Madali, the group, calling itself the Gala Quintet, entertained this year’s awardees with a range of songs form contemporary Broadway to popular OPM. Especially riveting was the delivery of a medley of traditional Christian hymns which earned that admiration of the Brothers in the audience.
The Mission Partners’ Day dinner is an annual celebration of the Marist School community highlighting the services of members who have shown exemplary performance through punctuality, attendance and length of service. The 26 awardees this year presented their response of appreciation through Ms. Guia Cabrera, a 30-year service awardee.
