In a 16-minute <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7RhJDadGXjQ\">launching video posted on YouTube <\/a>highlighting activities of the recently-concluded Science and Religion Week, the coordinators underscored the rationale and goals of the program. In his opening message, Religion Coordinator, Francis Santos, cited United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres: \u201c<em>Time is running out.\u00a0 But it is not too late.\u00a0 It is our obligation to do everything to stop this ecological crisis before it stops us.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0Mr. Santos continues: &#8220;Our home\u2013the \u201coikos\u201d of God\u2013is going through an ecological crisis.\u00a0 We are all facing a global climate emergency and a pandemic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In line with this calling, the Science and Religion Week was held last November 15-19, 2021 with the theme: &#8220;<strong>SnR: Respond and Renew.\u00a0 Science and Religion Responding to the challenges of the times in Renewing the \u201cOikos\u201d of God<\/strong>&#8220;.\u00a0 The week started with the launching video of the Marist School Socio-Economic and Ecological Program of the Community Extension Office and a call for action for everyone to be active stewards and guardians of God\u2019s creation.\u00a0 Different collaborative activities were done during the week namely: <em>E-poster<\/em>, <em>Earth Patrol<\/em>, <em>Trash Explorers &amp; Time Travelers<\/em>, <em>Faith in Action Poster<\/em>, <em>My Beatitudes for the Environment Collage<\/em>, <em>Bring Me to Life<\/em>, <em>Laudato Si 211 Family Challenge<\/em>, <em>Advocacy Poster<\/em>, and <em>Philippine Biodiversity &amp; Environment Commentary<\/em>.\u00a0 The said outputs will be featured in a virtual exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>The launching video further underscores\u00a0the natural interrelatedness of the program&#8217;s socio-economic and ecological objectives as explained by Br.
