Keeping Children Safe Online during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s mandate for community quarantine has limited the movement of people. This means that children will be spending more time at home — more time using gadgets and being online.

As we continue to embrace the “new normal” in the use of the internet and social media, children may become more at risk. How do we keep children safe online?

To assist parents/guardians and the school personnel, we are sharing with you a material entitled: “Keeping Children Safe Online during the COVID-19 Pandemic” from Br. Jeff Rhey Antiquiza, fms, the head of Child and Youth Protection Desk of Marist East Asia.
