TLE department holds webinars, esports league

Applying what they learned from their classes, Marist students celebrated this year’s Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) Week from April 26 to 30, 2021.

The subject teachers, headed by Mr. Joseph Echano as their subject area coordinator, prepared various activities that aim to, among others, teach students to be good and responsible digital citizens.

In this line, the department partnered with Technokids to provide Grades 3 to 12 students with various webinars per level. Among the topics discussed include: responsible use of social media, data privacy for online classes, cyber security, and live streaming.

Grade 1 students played flash games and did a digital illustration, while students from Grade 2 participated in a Google Docs paperless poetry.

Other activities during the week included poster making, LED designing, circuit designing, and recipe making.

Lastly, the department, with the help of senior high school students, prepared an esports league for Grades 9 to 12, featuring Valorant and League of Legends. Winners in the league were 11-Br. Fernando Dela Fuente and 11-Br. Chris Mannion, respectively.
