A simple yet festive collaborative celebration by the English-Reading & TLE subject areas was held last December to cheer for the holidays with the theme, “Christmas Loading…Literacy & Technology for Holidays so Merry!” With the aim of utilizing literacy and technology tools and materials with the students’ communication and livelihood skills, a line-up of digital and online activities from Kinder to Grade 12 anticipated truly the yuletide merriment.

The week celebration was filled with Christmas Card Exchange, Storytelling with Dad, Spellbound Digital Card Game, Picture Book Making, Christmas Haiku Poetry, Online Shopping DIY-Experience-Gift Role Play, Creative Reading of Christmas Poems, Christmas Riddles, Alliteration Acrostic Activity, Virtual Book Talk, Classroom Merry Banner, Picture the Season, Christmas Power: Frames that Shimmer, and Xmas Email Signature among others.

With much positivity and gratitude, the students came up with joyful, heartfelt, and inspiring outputs and activities despite the challenges encountered in the ODL mode for the subject areas’ celebration. Another year awaits and until the next year-end holidays!
