PRESIDENT’S CIRCULAR ON REVISED SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR SY 2021-2022

School President, Br. Allan J. De Castro, FMS, has issued a circular to parents and guardians regarding the revised school calendar for the current school year. It will be recalled that the coronavirus surge last January 2022 necessitated the imposition of a health break that lasted for thee weeks, upsetting already-planned activities for the school year.

Dear Marist Parents and Guardians,

Praised be Jesus and Mary His Mother!

We pray that you and your family are all safe and healthy, especially after the crisis we encountered in January 2022 due to the surge of coronavirus infections that affected a significant number of our students and teachers and their respective families—a crisis that prompted us to hold a Health Break for three weeks (January 10 – 28) and consequently affected our school calendar.

At present, we are already on the Fifth Week of the Third Quarter. Kindly be guided then of the changes in our schedule for the second semester, especially of the Examination Week and Completion Week.

With the transition of NCR to Alert Level 1, Marist School is currently coordinating with and consulting the Department of Education, IATF, DILG, and LGU Marikina in critically studying the possibility of holding certain activities (e.g., First Communion, Confirmation, year level Mass, and Grade 12 graduation) face-to-face and of accepting students (strictly with parent or teacher supervision) for onsite campus visit to make use of certain facilities for recreation and sports. Kindly wait for further detailed announcements concerning these activities. Also, rest assured that the school will abide by the decision of and regulations set by the aforementioned government agencies and will continue to place a premium on ensuring the safety of the stakeholders in these activities.
